Lumding, Assam

A railway division town

Lumding’s municipal board describes the town, in Hojai district, as home to Lumding Junction and the Lumding railway division — which the board calls the biggest divisional headquarters of the Northeast Frontier Railway — and as the gateway to the Lumding–Badarpur hill section towards the Barak Valley.

A junction town lives on people changing trains, staff on postings and families who move in for railway jobs. Lodges, eateries, tutors, clinics and shops near the station are exactly what those people search for, often from a platform.

How a remote project runs

I’m based in Hyderabad and work remotely. There’s no office to visit — every project is handled directly by me, over WhatsApp, email and calls, with designs shared online for review.

  1. Discovery

    A call or WhatsApp conversation about your goals, your customers and the content you already have. Scope, timeline and price are agreed in writing.

  2. Design review

    Layouts and an interactive prototype you open on your own phone and laptop, then comment on before anything is built.

  3. Development

    Built on WordPress, Shopify or hand-coded HTML and CSS, with on-page SEO in place and testing across phones, tablets and desktops.

  4. Launch & support

    The site goes live and is checked once it’s running. On WordPress you can edit your own content, and ongoing monthly support is available.
