A municipal town since 1916
Doom Dooma’s municipal board was established in 1916, and describes itself as one of the oldest municipalities in Assam. The town is in Tinsukia district, connected by National Highway 15, with Makum Junction — about 15 km away — as the nearest major station. The board covers 10 wards and about 21,600 residents (2011), with a literacy rate above 85%, and describes a bustling downtown.
An old market town with a busy centre has plenty of competition for attention. A shop, clinic or service that can be found and checked online — with hours, location and a phone number — wins customers who are deciding between several places.
Being one of the oldest municipal towns in Assam also means many family businesses that have run for generations without ever needing a website. For them, a site is less about reinvention and more about record: the history of the business, what it sells today and how to reach it, written down in one place customers can find.

I’m based in Hyderabad and work remotely. There’s no office to visit — every project is handled directly by me, over WhatsApp, email and calls, with designs shared online for review.

The site goes live and is checked once it’s running. On WordPress you can edit your own content, and ongoing monthly support is available.
