The gateway to the Barak Valley

Badarpur’s municipal board calls the town the gateway to the Barak Valley. The Barak river lies to the north and the Barail hills to the east and south-east; metre-gauge rail between Badarpur and Lumding opened in 1898, and Badarpur Junction is described as the earliest station in the valley. The board area covers 4.9 km² in 11 wards, with about 13,300 residents in 2011, and includes colleges offering B.Pharm and D.Pharm courses and a historic fort on the Barak riverbank.

A junction and a set of professional colleges bring students and travellers from across the valley. Hostels, coaching centres, pharmacies and eateries that are easy to find online are the ones they use.

How a remote project runs

I’m based in Hyderabad and work remotely. There’s no office to visit — every project is handled directly by me, over WhatsApp, email and calls, with designs shared online for review.

    Layouts and an interactive prototype you open on your own phone and laptop, then comment on before anything is built.

    The site goes live and is checked once it’s running. On WordPress you can edit your own content, and ongoing monthly support is available.
