A growing commercial town six kilometres from Arunachal
Silapathar’s municipal board places the town on the north bank of the Brahmaputra in Dhemaji district, only 6 km from the Arunachal Pradesh border, with a railway station in town and an airport about 50 km away. The board links the name to the stones (sil) spread across the area after the 1950 earthquake. A market area that became a community town in 1978 and a town committee in 1997, it counted about 25,700 people in 2011 and an estimated 35,200 in 2023, and the board calls it a growing commercial town.
A border market that has grown by more than a third since 2011 has new customers every month, many from Arunachal. Traders and service businesses with a clear website are the ones those customers find first.

I’m based in Hyderabad and work remotely. There’s no office to visit — every project is handled directly by me, over WhatsApp, email and calls, with designs shared online for review.

The site goes live and is checked once it’s running. On WordPress you can edit your own content, and ongoing monthly support is available.
