Rhinos at Pobitora, a growing town at Morigaon

Morigaon is the district headquarters and, according to its municipal board, the only urban local body in the district. The board grew from a four-ward town committee in 1973 to a municipal board in 2008 and now has 11 wards and about 36,700 residents, with the Morikolong Beel wetland on its south-western edge. In Mayong, the Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary is known for the Indian one-horned rhinoceros, and Jagiroad — which has its own page — is the district’s industrial town.

Day-trippers to Pobitora and Mayong usually decide where to eat, stay or hire a guide from their phone the day before. For businesses in the district, a page that shows up with clear directions, timings and prices on request is worth more than a listing written by someone else.

I’m based in Hyderabad and work remotely. There’s no office to visit — every project is handled directly by me, over WhatsApp, email and calls, with designs shared online for review.
