Barpathar, Assam

Golaghat’s smallest town, with old ruins

Barpathar’s municipal board places the town about 45 km south of Golaghat, beyond the Nambor forest reserve and tea estates, with the Dhansiri river on its south-west border and the Doiyang to the north-east. National Highway 39 serves it, with a road link to Guwahati via National Highway 36. The board notes that ruins from the 7th–8th century were recovered in 2019, and calls Barpathar the smallest of the five notified towns in Golaghat district. It was constituted in 1999.

A small town surrounded by forest and tea gardens serves a wide rural area. Shops, clinics and suppliers that are easy to find online help people from the villages plan what they can get done in one trip.

How a remote project runs

I’m based in Hyderabad and work remotely. There’s no office to visit — every project is handled directly by me, over WhatsApp, email and calls, with designs shared online for review.

    Layouts and an interactive prototype you open on your own phone and laptop, then comment on before anything is built.

    Built on WordPress, Shopify or hand-coded HTML and CSS, with on-page SEO in place and testing across phones, tablets and desktops.

  4. Launch & support

    The site goes live and is checked once it’s running. On WordPress you can edit your own content, and ongoing monthly support is available.
