Tihu, Assam

A small town that has grown fast

Tihu’s town committee was set up in 1951. The municipal board explains that the town was once called Dihu — a Bodo name, meaning flowing water according to Kalaguru Bishnu Prasad Rabha — after the Dihu river that still runs through the middle of town. The board now covers 10 wards and 7.68 km², with 2,691 households and an estimated 17,016 residents in 2023, against 4,599 counted in just four wards in 2011.

When a town grows that quickly, new residents arrive without knowing which clinic, tutor or shop to use, and they ask their phones. A business that has a clear, findable website — even a simple one-page site — is usually one of the first they find.

How a remote project runs

I’m based in Hyderabad and work remotely. There’s no office to visit — every project is handled directly by me, over WhatsApp, email and calls, with designs shared online for review.

  1. Discovery

    A call or WhatsApp conversation about your goals, your customers and the content you already have. Scope, timeline and price are agreed in writing.

  2. Design review

    Layouts and an interactive prototype you open on your own phone and laptop, then comment on before anything is built.

  3. Development

    Built on WordPress, Shopify or hand-coded HTML and CSS, with on-page SEO in place and testing across phones, tablets and desktops.

  4. Launch & support

    The site goes live and is checked once it’s running. On WordPress you can edit your own content, and ongoing monthly support is available.

Is a one-page website enough to start?

For many small businesses, yes: what you do, where you are, when you’re open and how to contact you. It can grow into a larger site later.

How do we talk during the project?

Mostly WhatsApp, with calls whenever they’re easier. You review designs online, on your own phone, before the site is built.

Do you work with businesses in Assam remotely?

Yes. I’m based in Hyderabad and work remotely: projects run over WhatsApp, email and calls, with designs shared online for review. There’s no office to visit, and every project is handled directly by me.
