Tea, research and the road to Majuli
Tea runs through Jorhat’s story: the district administration credits the Jorhat Provincial Railway of 1885 with the rapid growth of the tea industry here, and Tocklai Tea Research Institute, founded in 1911 on the south-east edge of Jorhat, is described as the world’s largest and oldest tea research centre. J.B. College, set up in 1930, is the district’s oldest college. Nimati Ghat, the ferry point for Majuli, is in Jorhat district.
For a tea estate or tea brand, a website does a specific job: it tells the story of the garden, shows the teas and grades, and gives wholesale buyers and retail customers separate, simple paths to get in touch. Colleges and coaching centres need something else entirely — notices, admissions and results that staff can update without calling a developer.

How a remote project runs
I’m based in Hyderabad and work remotely. There’s no office to visit — every project is handled directly by me, over WhatsApp, email and calls, with designs shared online for review.

Design review
Layouts and an interactive prototype you open on your own phone and laptop, then comment on before anything is built.
Development
Built on WordPress, Shopify or hand-coded HTML and CSS, with on-page SEO in place and testing across phones, tablets and desktops.
Launch & support
The site goes live and is checked once it’s running. On WordPress you can edit your own content, and ongoing monthly support is available.

Yes. A typical structure is the estate’s story, the teas and grades, photographs of the garden, and separate routes for wholesale buyers and retail customers — or a Shopify store if you sell packs online.

Yes. They are municipal towns in Jorhat district, and projects there run the same way.
